Each Start Abroad location accommodates a different number of students, depending on its capacity.
To apply, you must be a Spring-admitted first-year student who has submitted your UM enrollment deposit. Once you have done that, you will receive an invitation to apply to the program.
You must hold a valid passport from your country of citizenship that remains valid throughout the program and for at least one year after the return date.
You must stay actively engaged with Start Abroad communications. This means you must read all emails and messages, meet all deadlines, and respond in a timely manner. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal from the program and being responsible for any related fees.
