Devika M. Milner – Executive Director, Study Abroad Programs

Devika Milner oversees the University of Miami’s (UM) study abroad programs and is responsible for program development and execution, fostering global initiatives, and supporting university-wide international program goals. Devika previously worked in the corporate and non-profit industries, was awarded a Fulbright grant to France, and serves on multiple education abroad committees, including as an evaluator for State Department grant programs. Devika earned a doctorate in Higher Education Leadership at UM and a master’s degree in international studies from the University of Denver.

Anna Kenney – Director, Study Abroad

Anna Kenney serves as the Director of Programs for the Office of Study Abroad, where she oversees program development, international agreements, budgetary functions, and partnerships for Spain and Australia. She previously served in roles at the Toppel Career Center at UM and in Housing & Residential Life at Florida State University and the University of Dayton. Anna holds a Master of Science in College Student Personnel from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the Florida State University.

Valeria Vera –Program Coordinator, Start Abroad Programs

Valeria Vera is the Coordinator for Start Abroad programs at the University of Miami (UM), where she oversees operations and supports participants throughout their experience. She works closely with students and international partners to guide them through the application and pre-departure process, coordinate with host institutions, and support their adjustment abroad. In addition, she leads marketing, social media, communications, and website development initiatives for Start Abroad. She holds a B.A. in International Relations from Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary.
