The Start Abroad office does not handle visa processing. While the office provides as much guidance as possible, applicants are ultimately responsible for actively participating in the process and securing their own visa, if applicable.
Start Abroad students must live in the housing coordinated by the program. Independent housing is not permitted. If a student is removed from provided housing for any reason, they will not be permitted to remain on the program and will be financially responsible for any costs.
You must stay actively engaged with Start Abroad communications, which will be sent via email. It is your responsibility to ensure that the email address you provide remains active and accessible at all times. Applicants are expected to check their email at least once per day. Failure to review important messages, meet deadlines, or follow instructions may result in removal from the program and financial responsibility for any associated fees. It is important that you read all communications and respond in a timely manner.
