Housing in London

Students in the Start Abroad in London program live in comfortable student residences located conveniently between 10-20 minutes from the Foundation House Study Center. While specific features may vary slightly by building, all residence include fully furnished bedrooms, shared bathrooms, and shared kitchen and living areas. 

Students will live in residential buildings in the upscale Kensington neighborhood of London. All student housing and study facilities are in the city center Zone 1 locality and well-serviced by the 24-hour public transport system. 

Students will be housed in Metrogate, Hyde Park Gate or Manson Place. Most students will live in double, triple, and quad occupancy single gender, fully furnished bedrooms. Bathrooms are co-ed shared by residents of the assigned flats or floor. Common kitchens are equipped with cookware, silverware and dishes. Students have access to app-operated laundry facilities.

Important Dates

  • Deadline to submit housing form to FIE: June 3, 2026
  • Deadline to pay UM for housing: The housing cost is included in the Start Abroad in Dublin Program fee, which is due by the deadline set by the Office of Student Accounts website.

Payment

Your housing in London is included in the Start Abroad Program fee and must be paid directly to UM.
